Do we have to arrive on Saturday?

Since 2019, you can arrive and leave on the day of your choice.
For mobile-home rentals, a minimum stay of 2 nights is required between 26/04 and 30/06 and between 29/08 and 14/09 inclusive. This minimum is increased to 7 nights between 01/07 and 29/08 inclusive. No minimum stay for camping pitches.

Can we choose our exact seat at the time of booking?

When booking, you can let us know any special requests you may have (proximity of accommodation, for example) and we will do our utmost to satisfy you. However, even though the Vias campsite is committed to paying special attention to your request, it cannot guarantee the outcome. The Management reserves the right to change the assignment of the site upon arrival of the camper.

What payment methods are accepted? Do you accept vacation vouchers?

Yes, we accept vacation vouchers and e-vouchers. We also offer a wide range of other payment methods: cash (€uros), credit cards (CB, Visa, MasterCard). Remote sales, cheques, bank transfers and credit cards.

Do you accept CAF vacation vouchers for final payment?

No, our establishment is not VACAF approved (new name).

When do we have to pay for our stay?

For bookings made more than 30 days before the start of your stay, a deposit of 30% of the total amount must be paid on booking. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of your stay.
For bookings made less than 30 days before the start of the holiday, full payment must be made at the time of booking.
If the balance is not paid in full by the due date, the campsite reserves the right to consider that the reservation has been cancelled by the customer.

What happens if we arrive late on the day of our arrival?

Arrivals are normally requested between 5pm and 7pm for rental accommodation, and from 12am for camping. Reception closes at 8pm from 01/07 to 31/08, at 7pm in early and late season. After that, and on presentation of your identity card, the keys to your home will be handed over to you by the security staff at the entrance gate. In this case, formalities are carried out the following morning at reception (from 8 or 9 a.m. depending on the season).
In any case, you must notify us by telephone of your delay so that we can inform our janitor.

Do you offer television and air conditioning in your accommodation?

Yes, all our accommodations offer a high level of comfort and are equipped with TV and reversible air conditioning (hot/cold). EXCEPT the AFRICA category, which has no TV and where air conditioning is optional.

Are your rentals identical within the same category?

Literally no, comparatively yes. Unlike a hotel with its standardized rooms, our rentals can vary because our rental stock is renewed regularly.

Should we take our sheets? Towels?

If you book a SAFARI mobile home, bed linen is included.
If you choose another category, bed linen is not included, but can be rented (to be booked when you register).
For each bed, top sheet + bottom sheet + pillowcase(s).

Budget :

  • single bed: €15 / week
  • 2-person bed: €20 / week

Of course, you can always bring your own sheets.

  • Towel kit: 10€ / person

ATTENTION: The purchase of a sheet and/or sponge kit is valid for the entire stay. For longer stays, you can order a new kit from reception during your stay, or wash the kits yourself.

Do you have Wifi?

Yes, Wifi is available throughout the campsite (extra charge).
Access to the network is via an individual password attached to a workstation. We offer a range of pricing options, with sliding-scale rates according to duration.

Are cats and dogs allowed?

Yes (except category 1). However, they must be kept on a leash and vaccinated (the vaccination certificate must be presented on arrival). Pets are charged at €8/night/animal, depending on the period. Self-service dog waste bags are available in front of the aqualudic area. Animals must not be left unattended in dwellings. Owners must ensure that they do not cause any nuisance, especially noise.

Do you offer refrigerator rental?

Subject to availability, you can rent a fridge. The budget is €7 / night and €45 / week. We strongly recommend that you include this equipment with your reservation.

Are charcoal barbecues allowed?

No, by prefectoral decree, individual charcoal barbecues are no longer authorized. We also provide collective barbecues in a secure area (please bring charcoal and a grill, or you can buy them at the grocery store).
Please note that individual electric barbecues are permitted in your private area, outdoors only.
For the Africa and Africa+ categories, table-top planchas are available for hire at €5/day and €30/week.

Do you offer safes?

At reception, we offer individual, secure lockers that can be locked (€4.50 / night, €16 / week). Accessibility is subject to our reception opening hours.

Is it possible to iron your laundry?

An ironing board is available for self-service in the laundry. We can lend you an iron against ID at reception.

Is it possible to reserve a dwelling for 6 people? and to put a small tent on the pitch as there are 7 of us.

No, but exceptionally a 7th person can be accommodated in your mobile home in Vias (all sofas are convertible), you must request this at the time of booking. The person is billed at the “additional person” rate in effect on the chosen dates.

How far is the city center from the sea?

Our campsite is located on the west coast of Vias plage. Stores and boutiques in the heart of Vias Plage are about 2 km away, and we’re about 700m from a cove (see “sea” on the virtual tour).

Can I visit you there?

Access to the campsite is controlled. As such, you’ll wear an irremovable wristband attesting to your customer status. Visitors must go through reception to pay the fee. Visitors are not allowed to drive their vehicle through the entrance gate to the site, which must be parked outside the campsite (we have a large parking lot near reception).

Can my children come unaccompanied?

Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians. For obvious reasons of safety (swimming pool, possible evacuation of the campsite in the event of a weather warning) or health (possible hospitalization during the stay), minors not accompanied by one of their legal guardians, as defined in article 389 of the French Civil Code, are not admitted. In addition, the campsite is not authorized, within the meaning of decree no. 2002-883 of May 3, 2002 on the protection of minors during school vacations, professional leave and leisure activities, to provide group or individual stays outside the family home for minors under 18 years of age, unaccompanied by one of their legal guardians referred to in the previous paragraph. Minors accompanied by their legal guardians are under the latter’s responsibility. It is strictly forbidden to leave them alone, unsupervised, on the campsite premises.

Is the Espace Aqualudique still shared with Le Californie Plage campsite?

No, only Cap Soleil residents have access to the campsite’s various aquatic areas and activities.

Are there enough deckchairs around the beaches of the aqualudic area, and are they free?

Yes, the deckchairs are free, and yes, there are enough, as long as holidaymakers respect the maximum of 3 per family. Everyone is asked to bring their own bath sheet with them when they leave the park. This frees up a deckchair or armchair for others.

Are waterslides regulated?

Of course! Our water park is equipped with slides for young and old alike. Access is subject to a minimum age (see on-site notice boards). Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by their parents or guardians. The “Cap Balnéo” area is reserved for over-18s.

Why are swimming shorts banned in your pools?

For reasons of hygiene and to keep bathing waters as clean as possible, only short, close-fitting swimsuits are authorized for men (briefs), and classic 1 or 2-piece swimsuits for women. Any other type of swimsuit is forbidden and will result in exclusion from the Vias campsite pool until a regulation swimsuit is worn.

Why is the gym reserved for over-18s?

We apply the regulations in force in all French fitness centers. What’s more, the equipment on offer contains a lot of electronics and requires a minimum of practice. Outside, near the ping-pong tables and city sports area, you’ll find mechanical equipment for everyone to use.

What's the earliest time I can leave the campsite?

Traffic is allowed in the campsite from 6am to 11.45pm. See our reception desk for more information.

Is the restaurant accessible to outsiders?

The shops (restaurant, bar, boutiques) are located at the beginning of our campsite, and as such are accessible to outsiders. The rest of the facilities, such as daytime entertainment, are strictly reserved for wristband holders who are residents of the campsite.

Is there a doctor?

The nearest doctor’s surgery is in the villages of Vias (3 km) and Portiragnes (8 km).

Is there a bike rental store on site?

Yes, the grocery store offers rental bikes (several sizes and models).

Which is the nearest station?

Vias station, 3 km away, is the nearest, but there are few trains. We’re also located between 2 other train stations (Béziers 20 km and Agde 6 km), so it’s up to you to choose where you’re coming from. These towns offer bus services from the station to Vias-Plage, see the timetables for routes 650/660 at www.herault-transport.fr

What are the nearest airports?

Béziers Cap d’Agde (5 km away) is an airport mainly served by low-cost airlines. Regular routes include London, Bristol, Manchester, Dusseldorf, Stockholm and Paris-Beauvais. Montpellier (66 km away) has a higher capacity and handles Air France flights. Perpignan (1h away) and Carcassonne (1h away) offer a good complement.

Is there a shuttle service between the airport and the campsite?

No, the link is by cab (5 mins from Béziers airport). The airport also has a large fleet of short-term rental vehicles.

Is there a discotheque on site?

No, we offer a variety of evening entertainment, but no disco. Cap d’Agde (15 mins by car) is home to most of the region’s disco scene.
