What to do in Sérignan
Just a few minutes from Béziers, Sérignan combines several atmospheres in a single stay: a pleasant old town center, direct access to the coast via Sérignan-Plage, and remarkable natural areas at the mouth of the Orb river. The best thing is that you can compose your days simply: a visit in the morning, the beach in the afternoon, a detour to the museum or a quiet stroll when the heat rises.
The beaches of Sérignan, a preserved coastline between dunes and pine forest
Sérignan stretches 5 km of golden sand along the Mediterranean, a coastline that still breathes. The four main beaches: les Orpellières (Natura 2000 zone), the naturist beach, la Séoune and la Grande Maïre have all been awarded the Pavillon Bleu label. Swimming is supervised from mid-June to mid-September (11am-6pm). Campers are particularly fond of the less-frequented Orpellières sector, where nature reclaims its rightful place between pond and sea. Families with young children prefer Grande Maïre, with its gentle slope and 500 parking spaces (free outside July-August, €3 in high season).
Nautical activities in the marina and on the Vendres lake

Walking and cycling along the Hérault coastline
The Passejade del Crès, a 14 km signposted walk starting from Sérignan, passes through vineyards, ancestral winegrowers’ cabins and panoramic views of the Mediterranean. This3.5-hour loop takes in the local winegrowing heritage , while enjoying unobstructed sea views. The coastal path follows the coastline for several kilometers, accessible to hikers of all levels as well as cyclists.
Cycle paths are becoming increasingly popular throughout the area. Campers can cycle to Valras-Plage (approx. 4 km), take the greenways to Béziers or take a trip to the Canal du Midi, just a 30-minute bike ride away. These flat routes are ideal for families with children discovering the joys of cycle touring.
The RMCA, a showcase for contemporary art in Occitania
The Musée Régional d’Art Contemporain is surprising in its scope and quality. Housed in a restored former wine cellar, this 3,200 m² facility presents permanent collections and ambitious temporary exhibitions. Agraphic arts cabinet, a video room and a bookshop-boutique make up a richly varied itinerary. The work “Rotation“by Daniel Buren covers the entire glass area.
